Real Striking fishing flies - really near by the Original |
Review: J:son - Realistics for fishing from Sweden
At the start of the 2012 season, more specifically, in April, I visited with a fishing friend this year's fair theme world - fly fishing in short EWF Fürstenfeldbruck near Munich. Towards the end of the corridor on the top floor of the Tenne, near the stand of AOS Claes Johansson from Gothenburg had his exhibition stand, where he presented realistic looking fishing flies in an almost natural look. I stayed there for a long time and was absolutely thrilled by the small works of art, produced by the company J: sonSweden were presented and also sold at an affordable price. Furthermore, it was a very well designed system of binding tools and materials are purchased directly by the state. Of course, I bought some very nice pattern to it later framed to hang as decoration in the living room. However, I saw first on the acquisition of materials for tying.
Time passed, but these were pretty darn realistic looking fly patterns of J: son always in my mind. I regularly visited the site of Claes, respectively J: sonSweden to see if there were now additional design new fly patterns. For the German market, the products were first offered by AOS from Austria. During the year, the range of the patterns from the Swedish "flytying-factory" grew steadily. However, the lagged range available AOS some time afterwards - was the latest model, it seems only the manufacturer - and a direct sales force in Germany was missing in the dealer list of the website from J: sonSweden yet.
So what to do? This realistic-looking flies were worth it, they are presented to the public in the fly fishing scene! Not only the look, no, the price of such works of art were simply unbeatable. I had to just imagine this on my website - and most importantly: What is behind these fishing flies? How can J:son offer such Realistics so cheap? Which system is behind it? A E-Mail correspondence with Claes promised the answer to these questions. A letter addressed to me from Gothenburg packet should ultimately provide the answer to my questions. It included some of the latest pattern, and a basic configuration for tying a mayfly in size 2 in the various stages of development itself. The flytying with the J: son -system will showed from me elsewhere in detail. First, some interesting facts about the finished bound fishing flies from J: sonSweden:
The flies
of the Swedish
manufacturer J: son
combine two
characteristics: they are visually very
close to the the
living insect and
on the other side they
are with 3-4 €
Unit Price also
surprisingly cheap. Most
patterns are two things
in common: They are based
in part to a so-called
extended body
fly and the other
is this
a body formed from
foam. Realistics
in such
quality are generally
very time consuming
to produce and, of course,
would be many times
the cost
of what you need for
J: son
flies to pay.

The
highlight of the whole
is quite simple.
Claes Johansson has
developed a complete and
sophisticated system that
can be used to force
such a realistic
flying extremely
efficient. Mayflies,
stoneflies and caddisflies
in all stages of
development and of
course, terrestrials,
such as bees and
ants, mosquitoes
are modeled
very quickly and efficiently.
A body of foam
and a corresponding
wing, a bit
of fur or feather
material -
and you have a perfect
imitation emerged.

J: son
Mayfly imitations
has in almost all
stages of
development. From larva
with realistic legs
made of silicone,
to Dun
or Spent
....... of
the miniature replica
of a tiny Cloeon,
Baetis or
Caenis,
to large mayfly
(eg Epherema
danica or
Epherema vulgata)
- the range of
J: son for each type
has a corresponding
imitation in in a variety
of colors by using
high quality hooks.
All this. In a
realism and
a flotation (dry
flies), which has no equal.

great
The caddisflies are offered in accordance with a rich choice of color and size patterns. By the larva of a free living Hydropsyche or Rhyacophila, to the imago in corresponding colors and sizes. Also here is the offer extremely varied, and each situation should be eventually grown on fish water. Here, too, extended bodys built with foam and corresponding wing material used. The result: a very realistic picture of the replicas from the Swedish provider, which is different to the appearance from other products on market, which looks not so real! |
The third
most important group of
larval aquatic
insects are the
stoneflies. Anyone who
ever had a stone
fly larva from J:son
has seen will undoubtedly
be overwhelmed by the
reality certainly
loyal. Currently, there
is still no
imagines of this
insect group
at J:son
to buy,
but at least you can
the accessories for the
replica of the same
already received (October
2012) and
I'm sure that will
not be long and
stoneflies-imagines
the portfolio be found
by the Swedish company!

Of course,
the J: son-in
program also
extremely well-done
replicas of other
important insects
and crustaceans.
Representing here
the freshwater shrimp,
the mosquito (Midge),
the crane fly ,
the wasp or bee
and the Ant are
mentioned. All in all,
absolutely realistic
replicas of important
for the fly fisherman
insect species and
groups. Hard to imagine
that these
artificial flies may be
rejected by the fish.
Surely the future
of so many big fish
is resistant
thanks to a fly

assembly (fly)line!

If you look at the homepage of J: son throws can imagine, what we can expect in the future even in samples of finished flies. Stoneflies as Imago or Spent, grasshopper patterns, ants, crane flies, mayflies- and Caddisemerger ........ Claes Johansson has great plans and will expand its range of finished flying certainly constantly. Personally, I am very excited of possible J:son Dragonflies pattern!
The beautiful thing is: For almost all samples, which were not previously included in the program as finished fishing-flies, you find already appropriate tools and tutorials to built them after the J:son principle self! Of course, the J: son - System creativity the free space to tying own patterns or modify own patterns with J: son body or wing- material.
